The leudo "Nuovo Aiuto di Dio"was built on 1923 by shipright Antonio Muzio, said "Tunin Capetta", in front of the priest's house, next to the Basilica of Santa Maria of Nazareth in Sestri Levante, for shipowner Marco Zolezzi.
Leudo has many uses. It was very widespread, in the last century, in the Mediterranean. The Leudo carring wine and pecorino sardo.

This kind of Leudo was mainly used to wine transportation. It could take on board about 200 hectolitres of it, into 25 big barrels located
below deck and other smaller put above deck.
